AI Deployment Engineer
About Us
CompliMind is building the operating system for compliance in regulated infrastructure, starting with the NHS estate and expanding into the safety critical places that keep the country running. Hospitals, prisons, transport hubs, universities, government buildings.
Right now, the work that keeps these buildings safe is fragmented and slow. Evidence sits across PDFs, shared drives and inboxes. Standards run to thousands of pages. Estates and facilities teams, the people responsible for occupant safety, welfare and security, end up spending too much time finding the right guidance and proving what they have done, instead of running their buildings.
We are changing that with an AI-native platform that brings search, evidence, workflow and assurance into one place, with traceable regulatory grounding built in. NHS Trusts already pay for CompliMind and teams are adopting it in live environments.
We are London-based, backed by top-tier investors and building with real customers from day one. The next 12 months are about taking what works in one vertical and scaling it into multiple new segments. If you want a role with real ownership, high trust, and a chance to help define how a category is built, this is it.
About the Role
We are hiring AI Deployment Engineers to lead CompliMind into our verticals: Hard FM, Soft FM, Capital Projects, and PFI. Each Deployment Engineer becomes the in-house expert for one of these segments: the person at CompliMind who knows those customers, their workflows, their regulatory requirements and their pain better than anyone else in the business.
You will join as our forward-deployed operator for your vertical. In your first six months, you will own how customers in your segment are onboarded, activated and retained, while building genuine domain credibility: shadowing practitioners on site, completing relevant training, and spending real time inside the regulations that govern the work. From month six, your remit expands into community, research and product marketing, turning that credibility into a flywheel that pulls the next wave of customers in. From month twelve, your scope grows into GTM leadership for the segment.
This is not a role with a fixed ceiling. For the right person, it is the path to running the vertical at CompliMind end-to-end.
What You'll Own
Phase 1 (Months 1 to 6): Customer Success and Implementation
The immediate priority. This work directly protects revenue and drives conversion.
Own onboarding for all customers in your vertical. Build a repeatable playbook from what you learn.
Act as deployment engineer for the segment, the person who gets the platform live, used and trusted inside each account.
Drive active usage across existing accounts. Re-engage stalled customers. Intervene early on adoption risk.
Support contract conversion and renewal. Flag at-risk accounts to the CEO with a clear picture of what is blocking them.
Build domain depth in parallel: read and summarise the relevant regulations into internal reference notes, shadow practitioners on site, attend relevant sector training.
Phase 2 (Months 6 to 12): Community, Research and Product Marketing
Once the CS foundation is stable, the scope expands. The outputs here emerge from the real customer relationships built in Phase 1.
Launch and run the fellowship group for your vertical as a structured user community.
Build the bronze to silver to gold research library from onboarding and account observations.
Produce specialist playbooks, tutorials, and case studies for your segment's workflows.
Feed prioritised product insight to the Lead Product Manager based on patterns across accounts.
Phase 3 (Month 12 onwards): Owning the Vertical's GTM
Your domain expertise and customer relationships become a commercial asset. Your vertical becomes the next proof point for CompliMind's segment-led model, and you become the person running it. Specific scope agreed at the 12-month review.
What You'll Bring
Operator instinct. You are happiest at the customer-product interface, getting things working in the real world. You'd rather deploy something and fix it than spend the time theorising about it.
Technical credibility. You have a STEM background and can do the hands-on work: setting up the software so it fits a customer's needs, connecting it to their other systems so data flows between them and building the screens managers use to see what's going on.
Sector affinity. Either you already know the built environment, FM, construction or estates world, or you are visibly hungry to learn it. We will fund the training, but you have to want it.
Self-direction. You can build structure where none exists, work without being micro-managed, and take ownership of an outcome from day one.
Customer empathy. You can sit with a maintenance manager or a PFI contract director and understand what's actually keeping them up at night. You'd rather spend a day on site than a day working remotely.
Range. You can move comfortably between teaching a user how to use a feature, capturing structured feedback and research, writing a case study, and recommending a roadmap change to the product team.
Bias to ship. You build things that can be reused, not one-off fixes. You build them while you're running the operation, not before.
Preferred background: Deployment engineering, solutions engineering, technical CS, technical consulting, military or operational engineering backgrounds, or experience scaling a vertical at a B2B SaaS company. Direct sector experience in NHS estates, FM, construction, PFI or building services is a strong plus.
Why You'll Love Working with Us
Genuine ground-floor scope. You will be the first person at CompliMind to own your vertical. The playbook you build becomes the template the company expands on.
Real customers, real impact. NHS Trusts pay for CompliMind today. Your work shows up in adoption numbers and time saved for the teams, as well as renewals and references for us.
A sector that wants this. Compliance teams in regulated infrastructure are some of the most stretched in the country. They will give you their time, their feedback and their advocacy if you make their work easier.
Accelerated trajectory. Strong delivery in your first 12 months puts you on the path to GTM leadership for your segment by Year 2, GM-track responsibility by Year 3.
Equity and compensation. Competitive base, meaningful equity options under EMI, bonus tied to vertical-specific traction. Standard vesting schedule with a one-year cliff.
Private health insurance. Included.
Working location. London based, in our office at Shoreditch Exchange.
Flexible hybrid work. Hybrid working arrangement with regular team time in London and significant on-site time at customer locations across the UK.
Office perks. Our Shoreditch Exchange office has an on-site gym, free coffee, and open beer taps every evening.
