Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design for assigned product areas from initial discovery and research through wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototypes, and final handoff to engineering.
- Design visually compelling, pixel-precise interfaces that uphold a high standard of visual craft, including thoughtful use of typography, color, iconography, spacing, and layout.
- Design and document all UI states (default, hover, active, loading, empty, error, and success) ensuring a complete and consistent experience.
- Create intuitive user flows and information architecture that make complex features feel simple and accessible.
- Build interactive prototypes to communicate interaction behavior, micro-animations, and transitions ahead of development.
- Conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability tests, surveys) to validate design decisions and uncover pain points.
- Contribute to and follow the product design system, creating reusable, well-documented components and maintaining visual consistency across the product.
- Collaborate closely with engineers during implementation, providing redlines, specs, and design QA to ensure the final build matches the intended design.
- Work with product managers to understand requirements, align on scope, and translate briefs into clear design solutions.
- Present and walk through design work to cross-functional teams, explain decisions, and incorporate feedback thoughtfully.
- Stay current with UI/UX trends, design tooling, and best practices, actively bringing fresh ideas and approaches to the team.
- 4-6 years of product design experience, with meaningful exposure to SaaS products.
- Strong UI design skills and a sharp eye for visual hierarchy, typography, color, spacing, and layout that results in polished, pixel-precise interfaces.
- Proficiency in Figma, including auto layout, components, variants, and prototyping; experience maintaining or contributing to a design system is a strong plus.
- Solid UX fundamentals: user research, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, and usability testing.
- Experience designing complex SaaS interfaces, dashboards, data-heavy screens, multi-step flows, or AI-driven products.
- A well-rounded portfolio that clearly demonstrates both your visual craft and your UX thinking across real product problems.
- Understanding of interaction design principles, micro-interactions, motion, states (empty, loading, error, and success), and responsive behavior.
- Clear communication skills you can articulate design rationale and take feedback constructively from PMs, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Basic data fluency: able to interpret product analytics and use quantitative signals alongside qualitative research to inform decisions.
- Ability to work independently you can take a brief, ask the right questions, and drive a design from concept to handoff with minimal hand-holding.
