Introduction:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Drone Compliance Associate to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for recent graduates with a strong academic background in compliance, governance, legal studies, or aviation, as well as a passion for unmanned aerial systems (UAS). As a Graduate Drone Compliance Associate, you will assist in ensuring our drone operations adhere to all legal and regulatory frameworks, contributing to the success and safety of our aerial operations. A GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) and A2 (A2 Certificate of Competency) license are preferred but not required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring that all drone operations comply with local, national, and international aviation regulations, including CAA, FAA, EASA, and other relevant authorities.
  • OSC (operating Safety Case) Documentation and Reporting: Support the creation, review, and maintenance of compliance documentation, including flight logs, risk assessments, operational procedures, and regulatory reports. Ensure all documents are well-written, accurate, and in line with legal requirements.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on relevant drone regulations, compliance standards, and governance policies. Stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect drone operations.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Assist in internal audits and inspections of drone operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and documentation requirements. Help track certifications for drone pilots and fleet operations.
  • Training Support: Collaborate with the training team to develop educational materials and assist in training drone operators on regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and certification processes.
  • Incident Reporting and Assistance: Support the investigation and reporting of any incidents or non-compliance issues, ensuring that corrective actions are properly documented and implemented.
  • Legal and Governance Assistance: Provide support to the legal and governance teams in ensuring that drone operations are conducted within the frameworks of relevant laws, rules, and organizational policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to facilitate compliance across all drone operations. Communicate with external regulatory bodies as needed to ensure smooth compliance processes.

Qualifications:
  • Education: A recent graduate with a degree in Law, Aviation Management, Governance, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • Required Skills: Strong skills in document writing, including the ability to write clear, concise, and legally accurate reports and compliance documentation.
  • Compliance/Legal Background: Solid understanding of compliance, legal frameworks, and governance, preferably with some academic or internship experience in these areas.
  • Literacy and Writing: Exceptional literacy and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation that adheres to regulatory standards.
  • Preferred Certifications: GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) and A2 (A2 Certificate of Competency) are preferable but not required. Candidates with the desire to obtain these certifications will be supported.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring that all documentation is precise, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis, keeping up to date with changes in drone regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex regulatory concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience or exposure to drone regulations and operations.
  • Familiarity with international drone regulations (e.g., CAA, EASA, ICAO).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Salary Range: CIRCA £26500 annually (subject to experience)
