About the role:
As Data Team Lead at OfficeRnD, you will be responsible for leading and driving the data analytics and data engineering function within our organization. You will lead and build a team of talented professionals dedicated to delivering highly meaningful analytical products. You will play a pivotal role in leveraging data-driven insights to enhance our product offerings, improve business operations, and drive strategic decision-making. By overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance metrics, provide actionable recommendations, and contribute to the overall growth and success of OfficeRnD. This position is a hands-on role that requires active participation and direct involvement in the development and implementation of analytical solutions.
Our Data Stack includes Snowflake, Fivetran, DBT and Google Looker.
What you’ll do:
- Build and manage our small yet highly capable team of data analysts and data engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables;
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their business needs, identify data-driven opportunities, and define analytical product requirements;
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and visualisations to present data in a clear and meaningful manner, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions;
- Oversee the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data collection, integration, cleansing, and transformation, ensuring data accuracy and consistency;
- Collaborate with the product development team to define data requirements, prioritize analytics initiatives, and implement data-driven features and improvements;
- Drive the development and maintenance of data models, data pipelines, and data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance;
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics, and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and techniques.
What you bring:
- Proven experience in data analysis, with a track record of delivering actionable insights and leading analytical projects;
- Demonstrated leadership experience, managing and mentoring a team of data analysts;
- Proven experience in managing internal stakeholders and working directly with clients, leveraging strong communication and presentation skills to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical teams
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar;
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar;
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, data modelling, and data analysis techniques;
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB);
- Experience in data acquisition (API calls/FTP downloads), ETL, transformation /normalisation (from raw to DB table schema structure), storage (Raw files, Database server), distribution & access (Entitlements for users, build of API’s and access points for data);
- Experience in data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc) including data transformation, data model design and query optimisation strategies;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions;
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
